There are three stages in a woman’s pregnancy which are called the three trimesters of pregnancy.
Let’s discuss about what happens during these three stages.
When the first trimester begins, a pregnant woman experiences symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, tiredness, frequent urination and changes in breasts. By the end of the first trimester, the uterus grows to the size of a grapefruit whereas the baby growing inside is of the size of a cherry. The baby grows from a mass of cell to developing reflexes, heartbeat and the ability to move its limbs. During this period of time prenatal care is required and a healthy, nutritious diet.
During the second trimester, the belly starts to expand and one experiences discomfort associated with pregnancy such as sleeping problems and may notice Braxton Hicks contractions. During this period the baby would develop hair all over its body and the senses would start developing. By the end of the second trimester the baby measures around ten inches.
It results in a number of changes in the body and one would feel like urinating frequently and the belly looks as if it about to explode. From here on one should look forward for the date of delivery of the baby.
